We remember Gwen with deep affection. We first met her with Gordon when Patrick was a staff member of the Statistics department at Trinity College, Dublin in the 80s. We have fond memories of their visits to us in Gorey where they enjoyed the local drama festivals; also of gatherings of friends in Dundrum and later in Ranelagh. Gwen was a gracious hostess whose home-made Linzer torte delighted us. She was a model of maintaining one’s health in later life and kept up her mental sharpness with reading including books on mathematics. We appreciated that Gwen and Michelle came to the launch in the RDS of Megan’s book in March 2015. We miss both Gordon and Gwen and remember them in our prayers. May they rest in peace.
